Tees Maar Khan is comic thriller directed by Farah Khan and starring Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
Story of Tees Maar Khan
Tees Maar Khan is a modern retelling of a folklore centered an elusive criminal called Tees Maar Khan and his wannabe item girl lover Anya. The story in this remake details TMK’s exploits when he is entrusted with the difficult task of stealing 10 tonnes of antiques from a highly secured cargo train heading for Delhi. Hounded by two gay detectives Mukherjee and Chatterjee and a smart police commissioner and hindered by Anya and his suspecting mother, TMK has his work all cut out. But like always, Tees Maar Khan and his pack of 3 trusty stooges has devised the perfect plan to over come these difficulties.
The crooks pose as a bunch of famous Hollywood directors and enlists the services of yet another nationally successful but Oscar-starved movie star to fool the unsuspecting villagers into waylaying the train, neutralizing the police officers and removing the antiques from the train the smugglers’ truck.
But just as everything is going ever so smoothly TMK has a change of heart and decides to something good for a change but in his business hesitation can spell disaster…
The movie, though often mindless, always remains true to the plot and is truly hilarious. I watched the movie along with a full house audience and by the time it was over just about everyone was in stitches. Most of the fun is derived from catchy one liners and intelligent and highly entertaining mimicry of just about anyone and everyone connected with the industry ranging from a chewing gum commercial to Shahrukh Khan. After numerous failed attempts at making a funny movie, Akshay Kumar has finally hits the mark with Tees Maar Khan.
Oh, and lets not forget Katrina Kaif, who has a very small role, but never the less manages to set the screen on fire most notably with her erotic performance in Sheela Ki Jawani.
