Poison Ivy 2 : Lily
October 10th 2011 07:58
Today I experienced (rather than enjoyed) my first brush with the Poison Ivy franchise with Poison Ivy2 and here's what I found:
Story of Poison Ivy 2
Lily is a slightly coy girl who has traveled a long distance to study art at a reputed institution under a famous painter Donald Falk. Alone, lonely and slightly nervous by all her rather eccentric and talented roommates Lily realizes that she had lived a sheltered life for far too long and is determined to let go of herself to her primal instincts--no shame, no fear.
Soon, she finds herself attracted towards her classmate Gredin but also realizes that she cares for Donald and it soon becomes evident that Donald lusts after her, making her his muse much to the displeasure of his wife who is only too familiar with Donald's adulterous ways with younger models.
Review of Poison Ivy 2
Poison Ivy 2 isn't really much of a movie beyond a steamy and somewhat tense love triangle not to mention a few pretty faces in the nude strewn judiciously over its 110 mins runtime. The dialog is uniformly boring though at times the voice-over is pretty decent. The only positive in this movie is the splendid performance from Xander Berkley as Donald Falk and Johnathan Schaech's (as Gredin) ability to turn on the charm on order almost like a faucet.
Over all this is one of the VERY few movies which I will strongly recommend you to SKIP at all cost!!!
