Notting Hill starring Julia Roberts

Roger Michell's Notting Hill, starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant, is easily one of my favorite Hollywood rom-coms in recent times. (Yes I know its over a decade old but I guess you know what I mean).
Story of Notting Hill
When unsuccessful Notting Hill bool dealer William Thacker (Hugh Grant) accidentally spills orange juice on famous and beautiful actress Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) his life is about to change forever.
Though, initially both of them think it is just one of those co-incidental one of
meetings but soon it becomes clear that its a lot deeper than that as Anna repeatedly comes to Thacker's lodgings, visits his family and goes on dates with him.
But, Thacker is having a tough time keeping up with living the life in the fast lane. He is put off when he is mistaken for a reporter at a press conference for Anna Scott's latest movie and he is dismayed to discover that Anna already has a 'boyfriend' and is shattered on hearing her describe him as a nobody to one of her colleagues. But there is no denying their chemistry and her hypnotic powers over him. So will he, or rather, can he break her spell and follow his head to break all ties with Anna or will his heart reign supreme?
You already know the answer but often the destination is not everything and the journey is half the fun.
Review of Notting Hill
Notting Hill is, in my opinion,an excellent romantic comedy with lots of humorous dialogues, high emotional involvement and served with just the right pinch of drama. Julia Roberts is once more in her comfort zone as a vulnerable woman waiting to be wooed by the man of her dreams, but for me, Hugh Grants boyish charms really steals the show.
An engaging screen play with a good background score completes the romp for Notting Hill as a fine fine Hollywood rom-com
