How to Steal a Million is the story of an exceptional art forger, Charles Bonnet, who regularly contributes rare pieces of art to various reputed auction houses and makes millions. Enter Simon Dermott (Peter O'Toole) a detective determined to expose the forgery. In the mean Bonnet is in hot water of his own doing: when he decides to donate a fake Celini Venus to a reputed museum in Paris, the authorities insist that the statue be evaluated and insured-- a course of action that will surely reveal Bonnet's dark secrets. But help is at hand. Seduced by Nicole (Audrey Hepburn), Bonnet's beautiful and innocent daughter, Dermott decides to help Bonnet to steal his own property in order to avoid detection. A task which is easier said than done considering the Celini Venus, which is sure to be valued in the millions, is heavily guarded as it is considered as a national treasure of historic importance.

How to Steal a Million is loaded with plenty of hilarious scenes which, barring a few sexual innuendos, are mostly G-rated.

How to Steal a Million is very entertaining and humorous movie and will specially appeal to those who enjoy light, low-intensity comic thrillers. On a different note, Peter O'Toole's role is a welcome change from his escapades as a half-mad medieval king (in Beckett and Caligula).
